Why Participate in San Marcos S.T.E.A.M. 2024?

 

This powerful and educational event has grown year after year and is poised to be even larger this year. Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics are celebrated at the S.T.E.A.M. Fair!

 

Preparing students for the jobs of tomorrow requires our community to take action today. S.T.E.M. education has previously focused primarily on computer-related disciplines. As technology has become a fundamental aspect of almost every business, a S.T.E.A.M. education must focus on more than technology. Arts is vital to include S.T.E.A.M. is critical to students becoming the leaders of tomorrow. By participating in S.T.E.A.M. 2024, add your business to those that are encouraging local students to learn and grow for tomorrow's jobs.

A Successful Exhibit...

What makes an exhibit successful at this event is interaction with the kids. Be creative! Showcase how S.T.E.A.M. education translates into a productive employee at your workplace.

 

There are indoor and outdoor spaces (open fields) and a few breakout rooms available (requests must be pre-approved by the S.T.E.A.M. Fair committee). This event is not a sales opportunity. It is for education and inspiration. This is a special opportunity to interact with local students, parents and educators.

What does it cost to have an exhibit?
 

Nothing! The S.T.E.A.M. Fair is completely free to exhibitors and attendees, and you don't have to be a Chamber member to participate.

Next Steps

​

Here are some things to know for Exhibitors at S.T.E.A.M. 2024:

​

• You will have one 8 ft. table and 2 chairs occupying a 10 ft. x 10 ft. exhibit space

• Your table will have a purple plastic covering (you may use your own table cover instead)

• For access to electricity, you must bring your own extension cord (25 ft) and surge protector

• Doors will open for exhibitors to set up on Saturday, April 6, at 8:00 AM Central Time

• The S.T.E.A.M. Fair starts at 10:00 AM Central Time on April 6, 2023

• If you are a Sponsor, please email your logo to joanne@sanmarcostexas.com to be included in the event program.
